Her life had seemed to spiral downwards rapidly after the Curse had been broken. Henry had been spending his time with his mother and grandparents rather than Regina. In fact, she'd been told that she couldn't be trusted around Henry and that for the moment it was probably best that the two of them didn't see each other. Regina had decided to just try her best and live with it rather than resulting to her old ways of life as the Evil Queen to get what she wanted. Henry had wanted her to change and for him, she would desperately try which meant for him she had banned herself from using magic (which she hadn't gotten to work anyways) and being the Evil Queen. Here, in Storybrooke, she was simply the mayor, Regina Mills.
Regina couldn't deny to being lonely though. She'd been spending her days cooped up in her mansion, too afraid to show her face around town for fear of being put to death by a bunch of angry citizens she could only pretend to defend herself from without her magic. Usually then she had spent her hours of every day in her bedroom without any push to get out of bed and just lie there thinking about her past, about Henry, about how she had failed ultimately for the last time.
Today though, Regina had mustered up enough courage to step outside of her mansion and had made it all the way to the woods in an uncharacteristic attire of tight, dark jeans and a black blousy top. It had been ages since she'd visited the woods but in her time of deep depression and loneliness they almost seemed comforting and so Regina had sat herself down on a log where she could lean up against the base of the tree and stare up at the sun hiding behind the canopies to do more thinking to dwell upon all of the thoughts that haunted her every day life.

He had been out patrolling the woods when he heard the rustling of leaves and knew someone was close as he has his bow in hand and ready to fire if he needed to as he followed the sound. He hid behind a large tree as he had his bow ready to defend home against whatever it was that was past the tree.

Regina could suddenly feel a presence nearby and one that didn't seem like it wanted to be found. Slowly she got up from the log she had been sitting on, brow furrowed as she looked this way and that, eyes keen on finding whatever was watching her. "Hello?" she called out, "Who's there?"

He stepped out from behind the tree bow aimed at her but then lowered it slightly seeing you were not an enemy. "Malady my apologies, but what might you be doing this deep in the forest all by yourself? " he said as he looked at her curiously and noticed that she was extremely beautiful.

Robin Hood, Regina couldn't help but recall. She had met the handsome thief a few days ago when she'd almost run into him while returning to her home from the hospital. The Queen took a breath to try and calm herself down, glad that she was no longer in danger. "Well, it is my town, you know," she told Robin. Deciding to drop the sarcasm for a moment she simply shrugged her shoulders. "I guess I needed some fresh air and a nice place to think."

He smiled kindly at her as he set is bow down beside a tree as he walked over to her. "Yes well then I can understand where you are coming from. The woods... at least for me is a place that always clears my mind when I feel as though I'm lost or upset. What seems to be bothering you ? "

Regina watched as Robin braced his bow against the base of a tree and walked towards her. She sat back down on the log and watched him through her peripheral vision. "What makes you think something is bothering me?" she asked and after a moment of staring off intothe forest, she looked up at him.

"Because I don't think you would come out here if something wasn't on you're mind. So are you going to tell me what is or am I just going to have to annoy you until I find out? " he smiled playfully as he raised an eyebrow

Regina glared at him a moment. "I am the Evil Queen, after all, thief. Trying my patience isn't exactly a good idea," she responded, still contemplating over whether or not she should tell Robin what was on her mind. After all, it wasn't any of his business even if he was only trying to be friendly and helpful.

"Well I've heard many stories about the great and terrible evil queen but from this angle id say evil is a bit of a over statement , bold and audacious but not evil. If you were id be chard to a crisp by now. " I said as I looked over at you as you sat on the log

Regina couldn't help but chuckle slightly at his words and smile a bit. Up until now she had figured everyone had still considered her the Evil Queen. "True," she mumbled before relenting and deciding that maybe it wouldn't be so bad if she got all of her troubles off her chest. "The Charmings won't allow me to be with Henry right now. I really miss him."

"Henry... "he thought where had he heard that name. Oh he had heard a blond hair woman call the boy by that name. "you mean the boy that is always around that blond hair woman ?" I asked wondering if that was the boy she was talking about or not .

Regina gave a slow nod and realized that perhaps Robin didn't know what she was talking about. He did seem to make himself at home in the forest after all and one who lived out in the wilderness probably wasn't all too familiar with what went on in town. "Yes," Regina responded. "Henry is my son...well, my adopted son. The blonde, Emma, is his birth mother but I'm the one who's raised him for ten years. He's not hers, he's mine," she said but any venom she had put into her voice for that last sentence before had completely vanished and Regina found herself holding back tears and biting at her lips to make sure she didn't sob.

"I believe you Regina. Emma may be Henry birth mother but you are still his mother as well. I'm sorry that you are being treated as though you are not his mother that is not right" I said on a sympathetic tone as I saw you holding back tears and o felt bad for you. Being separated from your child is a fate id wish on no one

Regina simply shrugged, taking a moment to look away from the thief to compose herself. She wouldn't be caught dead crying in front of someone, much less a stranger like Robin Hood. "Maybe it's for the best," she said with a small sigh. "After all, I somehow managed to poison him and nearly get him killed the last time I saw him. He doesn't seem to love me the way he loves Emma anyhow."
