READ BEFORE YOU MAKE A CHARACTER!

Before you make your character biography, please read these few rules about character creation first and make sure you pick up your application form for your character below.
Also, a quick reminder: You have a better chance at making a noncanon character because staff waits until there are at least two (may increase if the site grows) applications of one canon character before picking who gets to play them.

RULES
- Your account name must be the name of your character. If you are waiting to see if you win a canon character, simply leave your name the way it is and put (pending) beside it. That way we will know you are waiting.
- You must wait to be accepted in order to roleplay your character (this applies for both noncanon and canon characters).
- As stated in the site rules, you CANNOT play a canon character until you have been given permission to play them by staff.
- If a canon character is already taken, DO NOT apply for them. In the Canon Creation board, there is a thread that will tell you who is and isn't taken.
- You may only play ONE canon character.
- Be sure to check out the face claim/name claim threads to be sure you do not select that celebrity to represent your character or name your character the same name as someone else's.
- If your character is a twin/triplet, etc. they can have the same face claim as long as it's okay with the other roleplayer of the sibling.
- Appearance and Personality sections must have at least three sentences describing the characters. History must have at least four.
- If the parents or siblings of your character are unknown, you can simply put that in the blank.
- Characters who are under ten years old must have a character taking care of them in the game. They cannot be wondering the streets of Storybrooke alone (this does not apply if the character's caretaker dies).
- Characters cannot have more than one baby a year (this means one child every six months real time).
- In order to have the child of a canon character (unless they are already a part of the show) you must wait until there is an adoption thread up.
- You MAY NOT adopt out canon characters. If you no longer want a character that is on the show, notify staff and we will make sure they are marked available again.
- Characters cannot produce offspring with a character of the same gender. If you want a same-sex couple to have children, you'll have to find surrogates.
- Some items, such as magic, must be bought with the site's currencies and approved by staff! This does NOT apply to canon characters who have magic in the show. Noncanon characters must purchase magic in order to be able to have and use it.
- Once magic is bought for a noncanon character they will not be able to use it automatically. They must find someone who can mentor them and teach them how to use magic.
- Noncanon characters can ONLY have dark and light magic if both are purchased. Canon characters with, if they have one already, must purchase the other unless they have been given both light and dark magic in the show.

Now you are ready to fill out the form for your character. This form must be posted in either the noncanon or canon boards, depending on if you want to make up a character or apply for one already on the show. Anything with a * beside it ARE optional and are only for fun.
